The Princess and the Pea

As promised, here are the pictures for

The Princess and the Pea felt story

all you have to do is print them out
and glue some velcro on the back
to use them on a felt board
or put some magnet strips instead of velcro
to use them in the refrigerator or magnetic board.

Castles, castles and more castles

Here are some instructions on

how to make a fun castle

out of a shoe box.

This is such a fun theme,

you can make castles out of blocks

boxes, and also sandcastles :)

A book that would be fun to read with it would be

The Princess and the Pea

I would be looking for my felt story pieces
for this story to post them soon :)
Enjoy!
thanks for reading my blog :)
and thanks for your requests
I hope I can get to all of them as they come :)

Soap Bubbles Recipe

Now that is getting so hot here in Florida,

I thought it would be nice to try this new soap bubble recipe:

1 cup of soap flakes or 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap

1 cup of water

1/2 tsp. cooking oil

Mix in a cup or bottle.

It makes a fun outdoor play and a bathtub toy

specially if you make it with the soap flakes.

You can teach your little one to blow bubbles

with a plastic straw while in the bathtub :)

Enjoy!

Art Show II

Here is more from the art show :)
this one is really cute, they painted blindfolded
not knowing what colors they were choosing
was very fun :)

Remember to save a little bit of pasta
everytime you cook it, your child can get
creative with it and make you a collage :)

This one is rice art,
some of the rice is colored and here is how to do it
place 1/4 cup of vinegar with
3 or 4 drops of food coloring
put some uncooked rice to soak in the color mixture
for about 5 minutes
drain it and let it dry
now ready to make some rice art

Here we have some car racing painting
very fun specially for the little boys :)

How about some nature art,
don't forget to collect some seashells
when going to the beach,
they can even paint the shells
for more fun

And this one is painted with marbles,
in my classroom we put the marbles
inside a big closed container
so the kids are not touching them (safety reasons)
we put the paper inside the container
and let the kids squirt a little paint
on the paper to make the marble art :)

Enjoy!
Get creative :)

Art Show

Hello everybody, I finally have taken a little time to post here in my blog.
A LOT of things have happened in the past month
really not worth talking about :( but anyways....
At school we had an art show, we collected art
from our 2's, 3's and 4 y. olds all year long
I though it would be a good idea to post some of them
in case you decide to have some fun with your little ones
making art
this first one is "sand art"
we used colored sand
just give your child a glue bottle
construction paper and the colored sand
and see what they come up with...

The next one is made with
watercolors

This one is lego painting
make sure every color has a different lego piece
and a hint... don't put too much paint on the plate
that way you can see the separation of the dots from the lego

This one is made by painting in foil
you can either use fingerpaints
or acrylic paints, just make sure you use
something on your child to cover their clothes :)

And this one is one of my favorites,
vinegar and tissue paper
let your child dip the pieces of tissue paper on vinegar
while wet place them on the construction paper
let it dry;
when dry peel the tissue paper
and you'll she that awesome effect
hint: you might want to do it outdoors
because of the strong smell of vinegar.

Enjoy!
I'll be posting some more art projects this week :)
thanks so much for reading my blog,
and for the nice encouraging comments everybody
it is greatly appreciated :)
God Bless,
