Letter G

After the long break, we continue with the letter G
we decided to do G for Glitter Glue
so we took this Glittler Glue, a pack of 6 different colors
that we got at the dollar store,
and outlined the letter G worksheet
it looks so simple to us, but for Jessica it was a challenge
to follow the line, while squeezing the glue
very good exercise for hand and eye coordination

We also did some writing practice of the letter G with this worksheet

Another G worksheet G for Grasshopper

G for Goose, a dot to dot worksheet

And G for Grover, for those that like Sesame Street like my daughter

More Award Winners!

“These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to those bloggers who must choose at least 5 more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.”

What to do with all these worksheets?

Hi everybody, as we get ready to go on a trip friday

I've been thinking... so what do we do with all these worksheets that our little ones worked on?

Well.... Recycle them, but in a different way.

I've been keeping all her work, so...

with the alphabet letters, we are going to do "My Own Alphabet Book"

with our crafts and art projects, we'll be making "My Own Arts and Crafts Book" where we'll be putting things like the laced mitten, the stocking that we made, the artic scene, etc.

and with the rest of the worksheets we are going to make "My Own Spanish Book",

do to this we are going to start gluing all the pictures from the worksheets

and Jessica will be writing the word in Spanish.

To make this easier I made a worksheets label in case you want to follow

along when we start with "My Own Spanish Book" which will have to wait

until we come back home :)

I'll be in touch :)

F for food and fruits

Food Collage
We just took some old coloring books and magazines
and made Jessica cut everything that was food
for the collage

Then we separated the fruits from the food

How fun is that!

And after that we enjoyed some Fruit Kabobs

Fruit Kabobs

Strawberries

Blueberries

Grapes

Bananas

Apples

Cantaloupe

Mango

Water Melon

Wooden skewers

Vanilla Yogurt

Cut up all fruits in bite size.

Poke trough with wooden skewers alternating the different fruits

Enjoy by dipping your kabobs into the yogurt dip!

F for fingerprints

We are finally starting letter F

F for fingerprints,
for this we took
a stamp pad and
a wet sponge with fingerpaints
to put our fingerprints all over letter F

We also got a little creative
making all kinds of animals with our fingerprints

Here are some worksheets for them to practice the F sound
together with cutting skills
writing and counting with the dot to dot worksheet

Just a note...

We are getting ready to start with the letter F,
is going to be a lot of fun stuff :)
I also wanted to let you know
that an unexpected trip to South America, Ecuador, has come,
and have to go from March 13th (Jessica's 4th birthday) to March 24th,
so during that time you won't see any posts from me,
but I'll post pictures of our trip and what my kids learned once I get back.
I am also attempting to bring
workbooks and materials in spanish to post them here.
So for now I am trying to get everything ready for the trip.
Busy, busy, busy.
Lot's of fun things comming up :)
Oh! I almost forgot,
we are also going to start doing
when we come back from the trip

Another use for flashcards... Copywork

Copying words!

Jessica wanted to write something,

so I gave her flashcards to copy the words from there.

That's called Copywork,

it starts in the very early stages,

children trace or copy the letters of the alphabet,

after having some practice and doing this for a while

they progress to words and phrases

which it has its benefits,

like introducing and practising

spelling, handwriting, punctuation, and grammar.

It also involves more than one of their senses.

Children learn so quick when their hands and eyes are involved in the learning.

Celebrating Dr. Seuss!

Today we are going to be celebrating
Dr. Seuss
with a few free printables.

First we are planning on reading
"the Cat in the Hat"

for a craft we'll be using
an oatmeal container to make the hat
cutting and gluing some red and white strips of construction paper,
and for the bottom of the hat,
we'll be using a paper plate with a whole in the middle.
I promise to post a picture as soon as we are done with it :)

We are also going to be doing connect the dots

with the cat in the hat, and a maze

we also have a coloring pagea hats counting sheet

a rhyming worksheet

and a drawing worksheet for your little one to be creative

You can find all these worksheets here

Enjoy!!!
