Angels for Christmas

We made this beautiful angels

in my prek classroom

We gave every child a white construction paper

where we drew a big circle for the head

and a big triangle without the top for the angel's dress

for my 4 y. olds to cut out

after cutting them out

they started gluing everything together

first the head to the body

then for the wings we took

a big 10" doili and fold the middle a little bit

just to give the wings a little dimension

and glue it to the angel,

now some wiggly eyes, a nose

and a happy face :)

some silver or gold glittler glue

for the halo

then the spread glue on the body

so the fake snow/white glitter

sticks to the angel

after all that hard work :)

we made this beautiful display :)

thanks for reading my blog :)

Merry Christmas!

Christmas activities for all ages

Hello everyone :)
today I am trying to catch up with my posts
I have a few Christmas activities for all ages
this one is a pretty angel, made by some 3 y. olds
as you can see, we cut a small paper plate for the body
a circle for the head which they decorated with some
sticker eyes, a dot for the nose and some lips with red marker
we cut some circles for the halo from the same paper plates
and the kids paint it with gold paint
and finally the wings are made out of coffee filters :)

These little penguins were some sets that the school bought
but is just so cute to see how the little ones
put them together
the boot was cut out of construction paper
and the kids had so much fun
decorating it with the foam snowflakes
and cotton on top :)

This little christmas trees were finger painted
and decorated by 2 y. olds :)
cute!
enjoy!

A little bit of Christmas here and there

Here is a picture of my older daughter
proud! after she made some japanese cookies
for the first time

they were delicious :)

Now jumping to our preschool
I couldn't see these Christmas Trees
cut-out outlines go to waste,
so I gave them to the kids to glue them on white paper
and decorate the inside with markers and sequences
kind of like free art, and they loved doing it :)

We also made some jingle bells to go with our singing
we used pipe cleaners and the bells
to make these nice bracelets :)

For cooking school we made an angel
we used a rits cracker for the head
a graham cracker for the body
and a bagel cut in half for the wings
we gave the kids some cream cheese to spread
on the bagel to make them white
and on the head to stick
2 chocolate chip cookies for the eyes
and yellow sugar for the halo

Enjoy! :)

Christmas paper garland

Oh my!
time just flies...
Christmas is almost here
and we are trying to get ready
in our prek classroom

Here is a picture of a paper garland
that we made from colored construction paper

Simply fold the paper length-wise
several times (kind of like making a fan)
and make children cut little triangles
and squares on the edges,
when you open it, here is the result

A cute garland, and they are so proud of it :)

Christmas crafts

Here are a few Christmas craft
that you can do with your child at any age
this ones where made with 2 y. olds
A reindeer made with a footprint for the face
and both hand prints for the anthlers
wiggly eyes, pompom nose and a cute smile :)

this next two are paper plates with the middle cut out
and let the children glue pieces of green and red tissue paper
for a festive look

And this one is filled with strips of
thinly cut colored paper that
you can find at the craft stores

And here is just a picture of a nice way of
displaying them

Thanks for reading my blog
Enjoy!

Starting our Christmas Season

Well, is December already...
We started the Christmas Season with some
simple activities,
Here my preschoolers got creative
with some glitter paint, when I asked them
to make a Christmas Tree

is amazing to see, how they are all the same age
but with different artistic levels :)
And this is one is a die cut that the children
painted with the same glitter paint
and when it dried they decorated it with
some star stickers

great for using as name tags for the carpet
to sit on during circle time :)
At home you can use them as great decorations
or as an ornament if you use a thicker paper :)
I hope you enjoy my activities :)
